Week 4

My goodness, my darling Aspen is 4 weeks old today! And she's getting so big! She was 9 lbs at her 2 week checkup and the doc says she's thriving and perfectly healthy. She's really strong as far as holding her head up during tummy time and she's got a crazy strong grip! I just love it when she holds hands with Mamma! She smiles every time she starts to fall asleep and once in a while we get to hear a chuckle. Last night, during a feeding, I heard a full on laugh and my heart just swelled with happiness! Everyday she's becoming smarter and I can definitely see a personality developing. We put her in her crib for the first time on Sunday and she's been doing really good so far. It gets a little difficult around 4-5 am... she's usually wide awake and by then, I'm dead asleep and incoherent! But it's definitely all worth it!  When I was pregnant with Aspen, I had countless people tell me "Oh you are in for a big surprise", "Your life will never be the same", "You won't ever get to do the same things you do now" And honestly.. they were right! Our lives have changed so much but it's changed for the better. I can't even imagine a life without my daughter now. She's taught me how to love unconditionally and she's made my amazing relationship with Jorden even better! So maybe next time I see those negative people, I'll just stick my tongue out at them! :D

Cousin Aijla came over on Sunday.. She's 2 years old and SO smart, we just talked like grownups all day and all she wanted to do was love up on "Baby Aspess"!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!!

Wedding Plans

Well now that we've had our little sweet pea, it's time to plan a wedding! We have less than 3 months left and the plans are slowly but surely coming along. We booked our caterer a while ago... Coming from a Korean/Hawaiian background, our family is used to weddings/events with lots and LOTS of food so that was my mama's main priority. We're providing a full dinner for all of the guests as well as appetizers, desserts and treats and my mother is still worried about having enough food! I finally had to remind her that we're not in Hawaii anymore and people aren't expecting a full Luau! haha So to all of my dear wedding guests, be prepared to eat! Tomorrow, we're going to check out Granite Bakery and test some cakes, I'm super excited for that :) It's really important that the cake not only looks good but TASTES good! We're also going to check out some Bridal shops to start looking for my dress and the bridesmaid dresses. I'm NOT excited for that. Only because I had a baby 3 weeks ago and I still have some poundage to lose... blah... Jorden and I have been trying to do really good and have been living off of chicken and veggies but last night we splurged and went to Costa Vida, it was so good and worth every calorie! So most of the plans are in motion... Okay not most... but we're getting there! I can't wait to marry my handsome guy! Now I gotta go tend to my ever hungry bambina!!

Have a great weekend!! ♥

10 Days Older

Wow they weren't kidding when they said time would FLY BY with this little lady! I was planning on posting a blog when she turned a week old but things have been pretty crazy (obviously) So I'm posting just in time for her to turn 10 days old tomorrow! It really feels like I just delivered yesterday.. (mentally AND physically) Taking care of her and getting to know her has been quite the adventure. Waking up every 2 hours to feed and change her while dealing with the gross healing process of my own has definitely worn me out but it's worth every second of it! I'll admit it, there have already been nights where I have randomly broken down, sobbing, while changing her diaper or cleaning her spit up. The other night, I woke up poor Jorden in the middle of the night crying my eyes out. He immediately woke up, alarmed and asked what was wrong. I said "She just pooped and threw up." Haha he just stared at me and I'm sure he was thinking in his head "That's what babies are supposed to do!" But I'm telling you, when you're that exhausted at 3 in the morning and it feels like you're changing the 328th diaper and then she throws up all over herself, the emotions can get overwhelming! Luckily, Jorden has been AMAZING with everything so far. He's a lot better at keeping calm and just going with the flow while I'm constantly stressing out over nothing and trying not to cry over the tiniest things (I'm still  blaming the hormones! Haha) As tired and upset as I get, it's all completely worth it when I see Aspen smile as her daddy gives her kisses! We just did her newborn pictures yesterday and even though it started getting a little hairy towards the end, we got some amazing pictures and I'm so excited to share them.  Quick plug,

I wish I had some previews of our photoshoot yesterday but they'll come very soon! Here are some non-professional but still very cute photos of this past week for now!
